Feb.17, 1897 is the birthdate of the lady whose Met debut (I was there) was a huge breakthrough (finalmente) for Afro-American artists.ad they missed some,like Lawrence Winters,Adele Addison, Camilla Williams (friend of Zeani and had lovely conversation with her shortly before she passed away. Bless her memory!!!!!!!!!!...and thanks to Eleanor Roosevelt!!!!
