  I may have posted this, but if you

want to cry like me...you watch this.

  She would come forward slowly on

"Ma quando vien lo sgelo" (note a

kind of "breath" on the "Ma" and then let out 

a Birgit Nilssonian top note on "E mio" that

threw us on the floor. (Remember, we were 

standees.)….I miss her so.....Called her on

every birthday....NO ONE in my view had the

combination of beauty of tone and WAGNERIAN volume.
